I am running the race for life again this year but this time it really means something to me. Since me and my mum ran it last year she has been through treatment for breast cancer. It was a really hard time for me and my family. I was really scared at the time but now I’m grateful for all the help and support we got, I wanted to give something back so I decided to do the race for life and make money to help towards cures and treatment.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
