Shine Night Walk London 2022 - Half Marathon
My Story
On September 24th I am taking part in the Cancer Research Shine night and walking a half marathon together with my family, my good friend summer and thousands of other people in honour of cancer research uk. I am doing this walk in memory of my grandpa who passed away due to cancer this time last year but I am also walking for all of my friends and people I care about who have lost a family member, relative or someone important in their life due to cancer. In 2018, 9.6 million people died from cancer worldwide and 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer Research work to discover, detect, prevent, and treat cancer and have already saved millions of lives with their vital research. If you would like to donate to help this research carry on and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured: thank you! Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK's work and helps save peoples lives. Thanks for taking the time to read this :) Isabelle

CAUSE
Brain cancers
Each year in the UK, more than 12,288 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. That’s 35 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat brain cancer.
