My Story

I am a recent graduate from the University of Manchester and decided to challenge myself to run the Manchester half-marathon this October. I chose to run for Cancer Research UK because of the fantastic, world-leading research they do to everyday in the fight against cancer. Many of my fellow students now work with Cancer Research UK and I would like to help support them in their work. Cancer now affects one in two people in the UK but Cancer Research UK is helping to improve survival rates and with your help they can continue with the work so please give generously!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
