In memory of
Grandad Poppy
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. This is in memory of my Grandad Poppy, he was a cheeky character and cared for those around him. He was the kind of person where everyone knew who he was, everyone knew him as Poppy and not Robert. His personality and character will not be forgotten. Sadly he was ill but didn't want to go to the Doctors. One day he was found unresponsive and rushed to hospital. When results from various tests came back we found out that he had a tumour on his lung that was pushing against his heart. Slowly he started to deteriorate and his life support was switched off. On the 25th of September 2018 my Grandad Poppy passed away. Any donations will help to fund research that will defeat a disease that is happening right now.
