Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part again this year in a Race for Life 5k on 15 July to raise money and save lives. I am taking part in Memory of my darling Mum who lost her battle to Cancer on 7 August 2016. Sadly, we have lost two friends to Cancer this year and have friends that have recently been diagnosed. My mum had Ovarian Cancer - dubbed the 'Silent Killer' - sadly she was unaware until it was too late. Myself, being closely related to someone who had this, has an increased risk of developing ovarian cancer. The lifetime risk of a woman who has a first degree relative with ovarian cancer is five percent (the average woman's lifetime risk 1.4 percent). Please help me and others by donating to my page and contribute to research for early diagnosis of cancers. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
