My Story

Hey! Thank you for clicking on my link and coming to my page. Or stopping the scroll to read this on insta ❤ For those of you who know me, will know this cause is extremely close to my heart. My mum battled cancer for 3 long years and was laid to rest 4 months ago. She suffered from kidney, lungs and brain cancer. May her soul rest in eternal peace. She was a true fighter.. Through the struggle and pain of it all, she still managed to smile. We were in and out of hospital to a point it would be surprising to be at home.. those days were really tough. It was scary for her and for us when she developed new symptoms and we had no idea what that meant. It was difficult to register what was actually happening. You feel incredibly lost, words cannot explain. What I am forever greatful for is support that was available to her through it all. The medication that relieved her pain and helped her be comfortable and sleep at night. The equipment that was available to monitor the cancer. The scans that showed us the stages we were going through. The medication options that she was able to take to slow down and control the growth of it. We knew it was never going to go away coz they hadn't found a cure (me believing there is one is a totally different story!) but atleast we got time with her. We made those moments count. I got to see exactly how powerful my mother was and that is something I will never ever forget. I am so damn proud of her and everything she stood for. So in honour of my mum, I'm doing this half a marathon walk at night. The money raised will go towards brain cancer research. Donate what you can, and again thank you for visiting my page and taking the time out to read this x Sammy x
