Our mum was amazing. She was beautiful, strong, funny, wise and above all best friend to my sister and I. I was just 30 and my sister 35 and every day we feel her loss. My dad lost his wife and best friend after 40 years of happy marriage. Samuel my eldest son was just 7 months old and sadly mum never met Felix, my youngest son, but we speak about her all the time! If we can raise money to prevent mums, dads, sisters, brothers, grandparents (the list goes on) from losing their fight with cancer then the world will be that little bit happier. I'm doing my bit to help raise these important funds. Any amount of money that you can spare will be hugely appreciated. I'm running for mum, and I really hope she will be running next to me in spirit. Lots of love Mel xx
CAUSE
Bowel cancer
Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
