IN LOVING MEMORY OF PHILIP SHAUN SLATTERY
In memory of
Phil Slattery
21st Feb 1961 - 12th Jun 2020
Hello, I'm Philip's sister (Julie), he would always introduce me as his older sister, but I'm actually 5 years younger! I always called him Philip, but I know many of you will know him as 'Phil'. For those of you who knew Philip, you will be aware that he lived life to the full, but was also a dedicated Dad to both Callum and Jordan. He loved fast cars, Newcastle United and was very popular with the ladies!! Philip was diagnosed with Lung Cancer on 31 December 2019. He was determined to beat the disease and underwent intensive cycles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Even when he received the news that the cancer had spread to his liver, he was still determined to fight the illness and did not give up. We were devastated when Philip passed away on Eastwood Ward at Southend Hospital on Friday, 12 June 2020 at 14:39. The staff on the Ward were amazing, especially Rachel, and I know Philip was very grateful for the care he received whilst on the Ward. Callum, Jordan and myself were with him when he passed away. We all miss him so much and he will be forever in our hearts. Thank you for visiting my Donate in Memory page.
