In memory of my mum, Linda Evans (The Deer Lady), we would like to raise money in her memory.
In memory of
Linda Evans (The Deer Lady)
On Sunday 10th September, Linda and David Evans was sadly involved in a fatal car collision. Linda was full of energy, a determined go getter, who was intent on enjoying every minute of her life, and enjoy it she did. Linda experienced breast cancer in 2003 which meant that she was aware of the fragility of life, and when she recovered she was set on cramming as much into her life as she could. She did not expect to survive the breast cancer, following a double mastectomy, and faced many problems following the surgery but she did! In memory of Linda Evans we would like to raise money in her memory so we can help other people fight and survive breast cancer just like Linda did. Linda was busy, lively, energetic, and headstrong, she will not be forgotten, she will live on in your memories, her work as The Deer Lady was legendary, and the stories you will tell of her - her shooting skill, of the fun loving times you had with her, of her love of shopping, for boots, clothes and bags, of the time she dyed her hair red, all of these stories will keep her close to you, will keep her alive in your hearts.
CAUSE
Breast cancer
With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
