My Story
In lieu of flowers, Chris requested that donations are made in his memory to fund life changing research. Chris was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer and unfortunately at stage 4, the prognosis for him was pain management. Pancreatic cancer is known as the silent killer as most patients don't experience symptoms until the cancer impacts the surrounding organs, which was the case with Chris. Even then, the symptoms are often vague. Chris passed away 12 weeks from the date of his diagnosis which is something we are all still coming to terms with as he was quite the character and there is a huge void in all our lives. His favourite saying was "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today" which his Mother used to say to him when she too was battling with cancer and eventually passing away when Chris was only 21. It is a cruel disease. Your kind donation will be put towards research into tests for early detection as well as studies into possible causes and treatments to help families in the future. Grief is the price we pay for love so from the whole Fry family, we thank you.
