In honour of vicqui!
Wolverhampton 5k 2019
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. My very good friend vicqui has battled with breast cancer twice and now in remission. She has been my inspiration. Seeing my friend up close and personal battling day to day, and still smiling has made me realise what a strong character she actually is. Unless you've been through it, or seen someone go through it, I don't think you can ever comprehend with how challenging it can be. Self employed, so being off work meant no pay, A daughter going through her exams at the time. And not much family to lean on. Was very tough for her. But vicqui brushed herself off, and got on with it. I'm incredibly proud of the way she handled the last two years. And in her honour Myself, Kayleigh (her daughter) and another friend will be taking part in this event. Any donations would be muchly appreciated. Many Thanks in advance And we will see you at the finishing line!
