We lost our beautiful loving Mum and Aunty after she fought cancer so bravely for two years. Mum was diagnosed late, but she was so strong and determined to fight; and she did. However, in the end the cancer came back very aggressively and even though mum kept fighting, the cancer was stronger. It had spread to her brain, causing leptomeningeal disease. This is a condition which effects 5% of patients who develop a brain tumor and has a horrific prognosis. The cancer made this incredibly strong, independent woman become very weak and fragile; it broke all of our hearts to see her like this. Our world was torn apart and life will never be the same without her in our life. However, we are hoping to do something positive in her honor. We both miss our mums dearly and we are walking 50km at the end of September in their memory. We want to raise as much money as possible to research into brain cancer so that in the future less hearts are broken. Please support us if you can by sponsoring us.
