Ilene's Race for Life
Glasgow 5k 2019
Sun 19 May 2019 - Sun 19 May 2019
In memory of
My beautiful mum Ellen who lost her battle in 2011 and for my cousin Jennie who is a survivor xx
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k in Glasgow to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me. Any donation is greatly appreciated. This will be my 11th Race for Life and I take part to honour the memory of my beautiful Mum, Ellen, who lost her brave fight to Breast Cancer in 2011. I was lucky to have her waiting at the finish line for me and my sister for two of those, always with a big hug. She loved Race for Life Day as she knew all the money raised allowed research to continue to find a cure. She was so very unlucky not to be one of those who have been cured. I also Race for Life for my cousin Jennie, who is a survivor. She fought and beat Breast Cancer in 2014 and is a warrior fundraiser herself. Our Team - Ellen's Posse / Jennie's Pink Army - raise money every year in memory of my Aunt Doreen, my friend Margaret, for Rena and Margaret, mums to two of my very best friends and for the two Julie's (Suter and McBride), my friends who have fought and beat this horrible disease. Please help me raise as much as I can to help the research continue. Thank you xx
