Ignite UK Walkathon 2020

Thanks for taking the time to visit IgniteUK's fundraising page. We are a local women's accapella chorus that has put on an annual Fundraising concert supporting Wirksworth Cancer Research, for many years, now, as it is a charity close to our hearts. As we are unable to do this in our currently challenging times, we thought we’d put on fundraising event that helps bring us together as a chorus, as we have been unable to rehearse together since the first lockdown. So, although we have met on screen every week, this will give us a collective goal that will be fun to work towards but also help raise vital funds for this important charity. Our aim is to raise £500, by each chorus member walking the equivalent of a marathon, 26.2 miles, over 36 days. That will be an amazing 1366 miles! We will, of course, miss you, the audience, as those that have seen us live, know how excited we are to share our love of music with you all.
