I’d never manage the full one...
Shine London 2018 - Half Marathon
Back in 2013 my friends did the full shine walk marathon. Why on earth would they want to do that, it sounded like hell. Luckily enough I was going to be on holiday at the time so escaped.. Who’d have thought 18 months later I’d be the one with a tumour. ( not so lucky ) 8 rounds of chemotherapy, every 3 weeks , surgery then 6 weeks of daily radiotherapy which concluded on Christmas Eve 2015 My journey with shine walk started out being lucky to escape a full marathon and turned into being lucky enough to be able to take part several years later Cancer takes so much, everyone has been touched by this horrible disease. I’m taking part this year so that someone, somewhere gets to be as lucky as me and for everyone that didn’t .
