My Story

Thank you for visiting my Donate in Memory page. Cancer Research UK supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses. Please donate today and help to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Ian was diagnosed with renal cancer in December 2019 and underwent the relatively new immunotherapy treatment which offered much hope and initial promise.Sadly he was unlucky and died from a fatal side effect. More research will add to our catalogue of knowledge of such revolutionary ideas which may help to find a cure. If you are a UK taxpayer the value of your donation can increase by 25% under the Gift Aid scheme – at no additional cost to you. Please tick the Gift Aid box when you donate.

CAUSE

Developing better treatments

From testing new therapies to finding better ways of using existing therapies, our clinical trials have helped improve cancer treatment. But these treatments don’t work for everyone and can have short- and long-term side effects. With your support, we can find kinder, more effective treatments so that people can live longer, better lives.
