My Story
I am so near to my goal with the Great North Run and raising funds for Cancer Research. This challenge was given another shift of focus when I found out my dad has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. His mother (my grandmother) had passed through cancer many years ago and as a result he ran & raised funds for Cancer Research in the Glasgow marathon, and here I am years later following a path... a path where you want to make a difference no matter what life throws in front of you from whichever direction. I want to truly thank everyone who has graciously donated so far & my only wish - apart from completing the run well - is to get to 700 pounds on this page thus making the total raised from my Race For Life, GN 10k & Great North Run a nice round 1k pounds.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
