My Story
A challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK, for motorcyclists on cheap and inappropriate motorcycles to ride from Land’s End to John O'Groats in 24hrs on the longest day of the year. Bikes must have been bought for no more than £600! I had an entry for this amazing event before COVID which put a stop to things but have always retained a desire to complete this massive challenge in memory of both my mum and dad who both suffered from forms of cancer. So, found my bike on Marketplace and bought it hoping I would be awarded a place. Luckily I was and the past 4 months have been spent getting the bike ready - rebuilding brakes, replacing worn parts, cleaning carbs again and again and again!!!!! It now has an MOT and rides although not 100% but there is time yet to sort the niggles out! So my target is a modest one! To raise a £1 for each mile of the challenge - a total of £1000. Will you help me to achieve this please? My pledge is to complete this challenge and arrive at John O Groats in one piece! There is then the small task of riding home to Lincolnshire afterwards!
