My Story
Hello everyone and a big thanks for stopping by. I am raising money for Cancer Research UK’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign. The money raised will help take breakthroughs in the lab and transforms them into treatments and cures for cancer patients who need them right now. This is very close to my heart as my mother's cancer was never picked up by doctors here in the UK. Instead, it was picked up by chance by doctors in Lahore, Pakistan. The doctors in the UK gave my mother 6 months to live and said that no medication was available to prolong her life. When consulting doctors in Pakistan, they said we could pay for her to have private treatment, where through a monthly injection costing £1000 could prolong her life. We started this treatment and her life was prolonged by 3 years. For me those 3 years were never enough, yet I am grateful that we were granted extra time to be with her and ensure that we as a family could ease her journey. I wouldn't want other families to have to live in different countries to have their loved ones treated and therefore this effort of mine is a just a small yet valuable drop in the ocean of cancer research and treatment. Dig deep and donate to show cancer it’s payback time.

Stand Up to Cancer: LIFE-SAVING RESEARCH
100% of the money you raise goes towards speeding up life-saving research. Every day, scientists and researchers work tirelessly to beat cancer. But lab researchers will not get us there alone. Every penny raised helps speed up breakthroughs in the lab, transforming them into new tests and treatments for patients who need them. The research you fund will help us see 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034.
