My Story
This July, I am running both Maidstone Race for Life events at Mote Park. Saturday 4th July is the 10k Race for Life. Sunday 5th July is the 5k Pretty Muddy Obstacle Course I am hoping to raise at least £100 to help those affected by cancer. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. One of those people is my auntie Hazel, who has been lucky enough to survive her skin cancer due to groundbreaking clinical trials. She has been through some gruelling treatment, but I am so grateful that she is still here with us. Another of those people is my good friend Nathan, who unfortunately did not win his battle. He will be forever missed and I run this in his memory.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
