I'm taking part in Race for Life in memory of my Gramp, and to raise money to beat cancer sooner!💗
In memory of
Alec Frederick Hayward - My Gramp
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. In July 2017 I sadly lost my Grampy to stomach cancer which had spread to many other parts of his body. Me and my Gramp were always very close, he was like a second father to me and also my best friend too. My Gramp was the most caring, kindhearted, generous and funny man to ever be in my life, who gave me plenty of care, support and fantastic memories that I shall cherish forever! Unfortunately his diagnosis was very sudden and he was only given up to 2 months to live due to the cancer spreading and it being too late to be able to treat. Mine and my families life's changed for the worst. Every day I feel sadness because I wish I could have done something to save my Gramp. Me taking part in this race and collecting as many sponsors as I can will hopefully prevent many other people from feeling the pain I do every day, so please sponsor me! Forever in my heart and thoughts Gramp! “Your wings were ready, but my heart was not” 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
