Local Armagh girl, and former Saints & Scholars pupil, Hendrikje Eliasberg was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year and is currently undergoing treatment. The prognosis is very good, and that is all thanks to cancer research carried out in the past. Hendrikje's mum organised a Great Stand Up To Cancer coffee morning and bake sale to raise money for continuing research at Cancer Research UK at the Music Hall on Vicars' Hill, Armagh, Thursday 19 April, from 10am-1pm! Great numbers joined us for a cuppa and a bun, and bought some baked goods to take home! The raffle was a great success, selling 280 tickets! Raffle prices were donated by - CycleologyNI Armagh - Trimprint Ltd Armagh - Charlemont ArmsHotel - 4 vicars Restaurant - The Studio Café (Wrights Interiors) - The Craic'd Pot Coffee House - Embers Armagh - Ciara McGleenan - John B. Vallely' - Zest Natural Health - Gray's Chemist (Partridge Chemist) The hot drinks at the event were donated by Scott from The Craic'd Pot Coffee House and served from their very cool Wheelie Bean vintage van. Gareth and Kasia from 4 Vicars, John from Embers, Julie from Articakes NI and the ladies from 15 T Street donated some of their baked treats. Jordan's homemade jam donated some of their lovely jams for the scones! The Cake Shop, Johnston's Bakery and Lunchroom, and Bunzl McLaughlin have all donated goods to dress the room and package all the bakes. The coffee morning raised £1,100 in donations, £370 in the bakes sale and £280 in the raffle!! The donation page will remain open until 17th May!
