Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. My mother was successfully treated for an advanced cancer 3 years ago and was able to access the most up to date options for monitoring and treatment. Every day in my work I help care for patients in all stages of their cancer journeys and advances made in treatments over recent years clearly prolongs and saves lives. I am running to raise money to help continue these advances even further. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
