MBVUK 100 Challenge
I'm no stranger to running or cycling distance events. I have run road marathons and trail marathons, the longest distance I've managed to complete in 24 hours is 50 miles over very hilly/muddy/rocky terrain. I'm not the fastest but I thoroughly enjoy the scenery, the friends made along the way and the people who create and manage these events. It's a super supportive and addictive community. I'm taking part in the MBVUK Challenge and setting myself a double challenge. To virtually run/walk Hadrian's Wall, which is 90 miles, plus an additional 10 miles to make it 100 miles for July 2020. To virtually cycle/run/walk Lands End to John O'Groats - 1,083.8 miles. This will take me a bit longer than a month to complete. I can't compare any of my challenges to the battle of fighting cancer. The incredible work and progress Cancer Research UK has made to understand and help prevent cancer for as many people as possible is truly amazing.
