My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. My Grandad was diagnosed with lung cancer and sadly passed away in 2010.... I never thought that my nan would have later been diagnosed with cancer. In 2018 my nan had breast cancer, I never thought that cancer would affect my family as much as it has and I am so grateful that my nan is now in remission after months of evasive treatment. The hospital that cared for her specialised in breast cancer fortunately enough... If it wasn’t for the fundraising that goes into cancer research, the technology and knowledge we now have may not have been possible without this charity. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
