My Story
We have chosen to participate in Race for Life as this particular charity is close to our hearts and personal to us here at Hellingly Community Primary School. One of our much loved teachers has recently finished treatment to beat cancer, she has remained positive throughout her treatment and we can't wait to see her back in school soon. We also know and acknowledge that it is also special for many people in our Hellingly Community. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're taking part in a Race for Life Schools to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
