Please help us raise as much money as we can to help beat cancer in memory of our mum, Beryl Whistance who sadly passed away from cancer ten years ago on 20th June 2009.

My Story
All of our lives have unfortunately been touched by cancer and we’ve seen first hand just how devastating it can be for whole families. Last year was our 10th Race for Life and this year we mark 10 years since mum died. We promised her we would do our bit to raise money for Cancer Research UK and in the hope that one day we will find a cure for this wicked disease. Supporting our Race for Life are Beryl’s grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, Emily & James, our cousin and her boys, Daniel & Matthew, our husbands, Simon, Geoff and Jonathan plus members of the Thacker family, Simin, Sheila, Rosie & Eliza. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
