In memory of
My Amazing Dad
As you know, I have taken part in Race For Life a few times in the past, each time with a different goal in mind mainly to help me get fit. I started out just wanting to make it round the course, then I wanted to beat my previous time (walking), I even went as far as wearing pretty much all pink. This year I am taking part to raise money for Cancer Research, in memory of an incredibly special man who was taken from us way before his time. He was an inspiration to us all, loved and missed every single day, I know he'll be with me all the way, cheering me on. So this one's for you Dad!! Because this one is for such a special man, I have decided to set myself my toughest challenge yet, this time my goal is to run at least some of the course. When I say run, what I really mean is more of a shuffle, it's basically moving a little faster than my standard walking pace. I don't expect to be able to shuffle the whole 5K but short stints would be an achievement.
