My Story
Those of you who know me will know that I'm not and never have been a runner. However, my sister's recent incredible effort to run the London marathon has definitely inspired me to at least try some sort of distance, even if it is only 10km! Everyone knows someone affected by cancer. My grandfather died from cancer before I was even born, my auntie has beaten breast cancer twice, my dad has recently had the all clear after his second bout of chemotheraphy as he suffers from Non-Hodgkin lymphoma; and they are just relations of mine. We all know so many people who have been and are being affected by it every day. Cancer affects the lives of so many people across the globe, so if I can run 10km to help raise awareness and hopefully some money towards beating this awful disease, then it will be worth the minor pain in my legs! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
