My Story
Being a survivor and personally losing my mum my auntie and grandad to cancer I know how important this research is. I have decided to do this in memory of those who lost the battle and those still battling. Cancer is happening right now, I'm taking part in a Race for Life 3k to raise money and save lives. As many of you know I don’t run I’m not the fittest but June is far enough away and I’m determined to do this. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
