Helen's Race for Life
Dudley 5k 2020
Sun 23 Aug 2020 - Sun 23 Aug 2020
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I first took part in RFL in July 2018. One month later I underwent much needed surgery to help prevent acid reflux, which I had been suffering with badly for many years, and it became uncontrollable with medication. If left untreated/uncontrolled, acid reflux can cause oesophageal cancer, so I’m lucky to have had this done, and have a very personal reason for taking part in RFL again, as well as doing it for those I have known who fought and lost, or fought and overcame cancer, along with everyone else out there. I wasn’t able to take part last year because of my surgery, and I may not be able to run it this year, but I’m having a go, and at the very least I shall walk it, after all, as the advert says, it’s a walk in the park 😊. So please help me raise some money for this cause that is close to everyone’s hearts, and let’s help try and beat cancer ❤️
