My Story
Earlier this year in an effort to be more healthy I started running. I have never been a great runner and never thought I'd be able to run 5K without stopping! I therefore set myself a target of running in the Race for Life and in those early days when I found the training programme hard going, I thought of the terrible suffering that people with Cancer go through and that spurred me on not to give up. I now look forward to running 3 days a week and it makes me feel more positive about life. Through my running I want to make a small contribution to supporting the work of Cancer Research. I have a friend who has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and is about to start treatment. Jackie, I will be thinking of you as I run this Race for Life! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now - even if it's just a small amount - every penny counts! Thank you for your support! Xxx
