I'm taking part in Race for Life to support those that are suffering right now and in memory of friends and family who have lost loved ones to Cancer

Earlier this year in an effort to be more healthy I started running. I have never been a great runner and never thought I'd be able to run 5K without stopping! I therefore set myself a target of running in the Race for Life and in those early days when I found the training programme hard going, I thought of the terrible suffering that people with Cancer go through and that spurred me on not to give up. I now look forward to running 3 days a week and it makes me feel more positive about life. Through my running I want to make a small contribution to supporting the work of Cancer Research.

I have a friend who has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and is about to start treatment. Jackie, I will be thinking of you as I run this Race for Life!

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now - even if it's just a small amount - every penny counts!

Thank you for your support! Xxx
