My Story
I entered the 40th London Marathon ballot back in 2019. I did the training and the virtual marathon in 2020 but deferred my original place in London until I could do the traditional run April. This is the year I get to do it 🤞🏻. When I did the virtual run in October 2020 I raised money for Anthony Nolan 🖤💚for blood cancer as my Dad had lymphoma. This time I am raising money for Cancer Research UK. 💕💜 I cannot think of one person I know who hasn’t been affected by cancer, either themselves, someone they know - friends, family and work colleagues. This race is for everyone. I have been there watching people I love battling this disease with amazing courage and strength. I am not as young as I was, I ache, I hobble after a long run BUT I won’t give up. Training is always hampered by something but they are just battles to be overcome, as those suffering with cancer have done. I have set up a just giving page. Please if you can give a little, no matter how small, to help carry on the research to fighting this disease. Each and every penny counts - thank you xx 💕💜#LM2023 #CancerResearchuk
