My Story
Thank you for visiting the Murfest 2023 Fundraising Page. The money we raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Murfest was first held in 2019 by Danny Murphy to celebrate a big birthday. This event was so successful, raising over £4500, that we decided to make it a regular event. Due to Covid-19 we didn’t hold it again until 2021 and then again in 2022. Now it’s back, bigger and better, for 2023! Murfest 2023 is again being held at The Plough Inn in Lower Beeding on Saturday 9th September and will feature 16 bands, food stalls, bouncy castle, inflatable assault course, raffle and bar with free admission. Donations can be made via this page or into one of the collection buckets in the day. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
