My Story

Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. The last time that I fundraised (sky dive!) for cancer research was to celebrate my mum (Amanda) being cancer free for 10 years. However, mum being mum, obviously missed the Mermaid Center and is now receiving treatment to battle breast cancer yet again. She is a true warrior and refuses to be beaten and makes me feel proud everyday that I call her mum. Although we are forever greatful for having our mum with us still, there have been other special people in our lives that we've lost to cancer. Gran and Gramps (Nellie and John Retallack), Pete Pearman and Bailey who was tragically young when he was taken from us. I know times are financially hard for a lot of people right now but anything you can donate would be graciously received. With the statistics now being 1:2 people having cancer in their lifetime, it is essential to find ways to beat cancer.
