My Story
Thank you for visiting my fund raising page. Despite the fact that I have never come close to walking 26.2 miles (the length of a marathon) before, I am in training for this event! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. I have chosen that any money I raise is used for brain tumour research as, at the age of 8, I was treated for a brain tumour and am extremely grateful to the team that saw me through it. I would now like to give something back and this is why I’m taking part in this walk. Please donate to my Giving Page and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Each year in the UK, more than 12,288 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. That’s 35 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat brain cancer.
