I’m taking part in Shine Night Walk to help beat cancer

Thank you for visiting my fund raising page.

Despite the fact that I have never come close to walking 26.2 miles (the length of a marathon) before, I am in training for this event!

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work.

I have chosen that any money I raise is used for brain tumour research as, at the age of 8, I was treated for a brain tumour and am extremely grateful to the team that saw me through it. I would now like to give something back and this is why I’m taking part in this walk.

Please donate to my Giving Page and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Thank you for your support.

Helen

With Cancer Research UK Giving Pages more of the money raised goes towards beating cancer sooner. Aside from the credit and debit card fees, every penny donated goes to Cancer Research UK.

All donations made to this page will automatically be transferred to Cancer Research UK.

Cause

Brain cancer

Each year in the UK, more than 9,400 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. With more than 100 different types of brain tumour, donations can help Cancer Research UK find out what causes them and develop better treatments to improve the outlook for patients.
