My family and friends. To help towards the day when the battle against cancer is won.
For me it's personal. I know firsthand the wonderful care our medical professionals give from before the diagnosis of cancer is given and right through treatment and beyond but I want to see the day where it's not necessary. I'm looking forward now and am thankful for the blessings of family, loved ones and friends. I have lost my grandmother, mother and cousin to this disease. That's enough. As a mother I want to protect my children and research will help put a stop to cancer through early screening and new treatment breakthroughs. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
