My Story
In memory of our friend and colleague Fran Johnson, over 40 cyclists from the Midland Main Line Electrification team in Derby are taking on the challenge of cycling 200 miles from St Pancras to Sheffield over three days to raise money for Frans family’s chosen charity – Cancer Research UK. Fran was a popular member of the MMLE team , she was a positive and really supportive influence to all those who worked with her across Network Rail and the supply chain. This is our way to celebrate this unique individual, who touched so many people in a positive way and for all those who have been affected by Cancer. The route will consist of the following mileages and destinations. Day 1 – St Pancras to Bedford approx. 70 miles Day 2 – Bedford North to Syston approx. 70 miles Day 3 – Syston to Sheffield approx. 60 miles
