My Story
As many of you know, last summer I "Braved the shave" to raise money for Macmillan and all the amazing practical support they provide to people, like my Auntie Lou, and their families, living with cancer. This year, through the Race for Life challenge, I hope to raise awareness and funds to support research to help fight the disease. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. It will be a big personal challenge for me as I haven't done any running since the end of my rugby days (over 5 years ago now!) and in order to prepare for Race for Life I will be training over the coming 9 weeks so that on the day I can -hopefully- run the whole distance. Wish me luck! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every penny donated makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
