My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. Last year, my Family lost an incredible man to cancer. Because it was the most painful and heartbreaking time in my life, I started running and exercising as a coping mechanism to deal with what was happening. I completed my first Pretty Muddy which made my family proud and I raised a fantastic amount of money for a worthwhile cause. If I can help stop others from having to go through a time like I did last year, then it is worth the effort and hard work. Anyone who knows me well enough knows how much I hate even getting my hands slightly dirty and last year I got completely covered in mud. For me, running 5km and getting incredibly muddy whilst doing it is not the best thing to do, but because it is for a good cause it is worth it, especially if I can make a difference to somebody's life. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
