My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. In 2012 i was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time i was pregnant with my 2nd child, one of the hardest decisions i had to make was to terminate my pregnancy and have chemo or wait until i had my baby and then start, i was advised to terminate and have treatment asap....i chose to carry on with my pregnancy and at 12 weeks pregnant i had a op to remove the lump and also lymph nodes, i had to wait until o was over 22 weeks to start chemo as it was deamed safe for baby, at 34 weeks i went on to have a healthy baby girl who is now 8!! After lots more rounds of chemotherapy i went on to have radiotherapy. I owe my life and my daughters life to the nhs and cancer research. Please donate what you can xx 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
