Hayley's Race for Life

In November of 2018 mine and my family’s life changed forever. My mum was admitted to hospital with what we thought at the time was an innocent appendicitis however apon further investigation and operations it was found that my mum had cancer of the appendix, a type of cancer that is extremely rare. My mum’s cancer was relentless and very aggressive and in the space of a few months my mum become extremely poorly. My mum gave a good fight and was so unbelievably brave, I was so so proud of her and still am. On the 20th February 2019 in the palative care unit of the Northern General Hospital my mum passed away with my beautiful sister by her side. Personally I have never felt pain like it, loosing my mum has changed everything. My mum was the person who was always pushing me and saying come on H. My mum really was beautiful inside and out. All I want to do is make my mum proud and keep my mums fun loving spirit alive and what better way than me, my sister her fiancé and my dad making a fool of ourselves, taking part in this race for life, muddy run. Which in fairness will probably take me about 3 years to complete! 😉 So please if you can donate any amount, it is so greatly appreciated.
