As most of you are aware I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid leukaemia in June this year. To say it was a shock is an understatement, you never think it will happen to you! And thanks to cancer research I’m still here to tell the tale. Unfortunately when I was allowed to drink again I used this to hide all my hurt and upset, so this January I pledge to give up the wine and express my feelings and talk more. I have seen first hand the amazing work cancer research is undertaking as well as all the hard work and support from all of the healthcare professionals. So this January I’m taking on Dryathlon and raising money for Cancer Research UK by ditching the drink for one month/31 days!! and fundraising for life-saving research.
