On the 21st June 2019 I along with my fellow bike-bodging brother, will leave Lands End at sunrise and aim to reach John O'Groats by sunset following a designated route. I will be riding in memory of my cousin Robert Robinson, whom the event organizers have kindly pledged this years event in his name and honor. Rob completed this very same event last year and is sadly no longer with us following a motorcycle accident late last year. Rob was awarded the "most obviously over budget bike" award last year. Both me and my brother Fraser are keen to set the record straight and "stick to rule book" ;) Myself and other riders will be doing this on budget Motorcycles costing no more than £300 (not including the cost of insurance, MOT, tyres or brakes) and must have valid MOT certificate. I have purchased a Kawasaki EL250 which I am in the process of converting into a Cafe Racer with a GPZ500 engine. This year I have been organizing a women's around the world relay on our motorbikes which has meant I am now in full panic mode to get the bike built on time!
