My Story
I decided quite some time ago I would do the Race for Life in 2018. I have like so many other people known someone affected by cancer or lost someone to this horrible disease. Last year my mother in law Edna was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and passed away within 4 months of diagnosis which broke all of our hearts. It all happened so fast it felt like it was happening to someone else, just the worst thing that's ever happened to us all. We all feel like there is a huge gap in our lives now and I just wanted to try and do something, however small to keep raising awareness. I hope to do this every year from now on in memory of Edna and a few others. I'm not looking to pressure anyone for donations, I'm just hoping it may encourage others to join in the fight against cancer. Thanks for reading this! Hayleigh xx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
