My mum, Lorraine, was diagnosed with lymphoma 2 years ago after discovering a lump early on, after going through the many scans through CTC, bone marrow tests and other needles doctors came to the conclusion that she had lymphoma, however they also noticed a mass pushing onto her spine. She rang me and my sister whilst we were both at work, getting the horrible new we both came back to be with her and to help her anyway possible. As the time went on, and mum was having her chemo therapy, I would come home early to be with mum as she just didn't have the strength to do most things. To come home and see your own mother, the one who raised me and nurtured me laying on the sofa drained physically from it all, it wasn't nice, but mum still kept going she still went to work and tried to clean the house, I even found her outside in the garden paining the fence pannles! All because she "don't want the cancer to run my life" as she said, now 2 years on after all the monthly treatments she is cancer free, yet it could still always come back. Mum is a strong woman that even cancer can't beat her down because no matter how low it takes her she always got back up and continued her life, she inspired me to run, she inspired me to help others in the same situation we're in but most importantly she inspired me to become the man I am today.
