My Story
Welcome to my fundraising page! Thanks for your support. As some of you reading this might know, this year, I started running more frequently and even started running outside of the gym (big moment). With lots of encouragement and suggestions I signed up for the Bristol half marathon. This race will challenge my abilities and push me to run farther and for longer than I ever have. My goal is to finish in under 2 hours which will be such an achievement. I chose to sign up with Cancer Research because unfortunately most, if not all of us know someone who has been affected by cancer. I personally know people who have overcome cancer, who are currently dealing with cancer, and who lost their battle with cancer. I am supporting Cancer Research as their goal is to bring forward the day that all cancers are cured and research is they key to this. 81% of the money they raise goes directly to research and bringing that day closer. A big thank you should go to Sparkol for organising our team lunchtime runs and offering to match any money raised up to £1000! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose!
