My Story

Why would you???Land’s End to John O'Groats in 24hrs on the longest day of the year.On Totally inappropriate Motorcycles costing no more than £600.00!!! What could possibly go wrong??? Oh and NO MOTORWAYS…. Cancer has for nearly 50 years affected so many different aspects of my life, From the passing of my mother when she was 39 , To taking The Uncle who took myself and my sister in 7 years later.. Cancer then moved into my generation through me. I was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer in 2014, then Bowl Cancer in 2019 , How lucky was that, had a spare kidney, and loads of spare piping, In both cases the NHS along with many people a lot cleverer than me, The support of my family and Friends sorted me out , I now have 3 forward facing waste discharge points , the original 1 above the neck and 2 man made ones below 😉. All of the above pailed into insignificance WHEN through the Genetic Cancer research program I was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome a hereditary genetic condition that means you are 80% more likely to contract bowl Cancer!!! There is also a 50/50 chance you will pass it to your Children!!! I have 2 grown up sons and through the same research program we now know that has happened!!! The positive side to this is that said son from the age of 30 is now monitored regularly !!!! And that’s the answer to the question at the start !!! I WILL , , not just for those that have already gone !! But hopefully To also help the generations yet to come !! If you can please give a little & also feel free to share !!! T.I.A. Harry
