Harriet's Race for Life
Watford Pretty Muddy 5k 2019
Sat 8 Jun 2019 - Sat 8 Jun 2019
My cousin Jaya and I are taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money to beat cancer sooner.
In memory of
Nanny Helen
Cancer is happening right now, which is why my cousin Jaya and I are taking part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy on June 8th to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. In 2018, cancer was accountable for 9.6 million deaths worldwide (via the World Health Organisation). Unfortunately, I have had personal experiences where family members have lost their lives to this cruel illness. This Race for Life is in memory of my Nanny Helen and Uncle Jeff, but also to people worldwide that are currently battling cancer. In addition, this race is for the people that have beat cancer, including my mum. Cancer Research is rapidly growing and making a difference to peoples lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, including incredible support systems for the individual going through this horrible illness (as well as their family and friends). Cancer is not an easy journey and it is a topic I am very passionate about. Therefore any donations would be hugely appreciated. It would make an amazing change to peoples lives in many ways. Thank you for reading.
