To raise money for Cancer Research
My Story
Hi all, I'm taking part in a Race for Life (www.raceforlife.org) 5k on Saturday 29 July 2018 in Hyde Park, London with my walk and talk friend Shirley. Just a couple of months ago we agreed to take part in Race for Life. It is a good cause and an easy and fun way to support something so important. During our life time each and one of us will most likely have known or heard of at least one person who has been diagnosed with some form of Cancer. So, I was very surprised and actually also a bit shocked to learn that here in the UK there is no Government funding for Cancer Research UK. This is why fundraising becomes so vital and every little helps. I would be grateful if you would sponsor me. Not only will you be supporting an important cause but at the same time you are encouraging me in my Race for Life walk 29 July :-) Any amount is welcome. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. Thanks and have a good summer. Harriet P.S. For people not residing in the UK, I think it is still possible to donate. However, if you would prefer to donate to your own country's Cancer Research organisation that is fine with me.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
